Project Update | High-Salinity Wastewater Resource Recovery in Xinjiang
Lanran Tech is participating in the Dabanshan Industrial Park High-Salinity Wastewater Treatment Project located in the Tumxuk Economic Development Zone, Xinjiang, China.
The project follows a PC+O (Procurement + Construction + Operation) model, with a designed capacity of 5,000 m³/day for treating acidic, high-salinity wastewater.
Key Role of Lanran’s Bipolar Membrane System:
• Processes ~45.2 tons/day of sodium sulfate (as solids), totaling approx. 15,000 tons/year
• Produces sodium hydroxide for neutralizing acidic wastewater within the plant
• Recovers sulfuric acid for reuse by local industrial users
• Supports ZLD while reducing chemical consumption and operational costs
Process Overview:
Sodium sulfate dissolution → chemical precipitation → tubular membrane filtration → resin polishing → bipolar membrane electrodialysis
Integrated with MBR biological treatment, Fenton oxidation, membrane concentration, and three-effect evaporation, this solution supports both zero discharge and resource recovery.
Lanran’s membrane-based approach addresses both treatment efficiency and byproduct utilization, offering a practical path to circular industrial water management.
