LANRAN TECH’s another new salt lake lithium extraction project

Lanran Tech has recently signed a new supply agreement for a bipolar membrane electrodialysis (BPED) system to support a lithium extraction project at a salt lake in Tibet, China. To date, Lanran’s BPED systems have been successfully implemented in five salt lake lithium extraction projects, demonstrating strong performance in complex brine conditions and confirming the technology’s reliability in real industrial applications.

Salt lake brines typically require large quantities of acid and alkali during lithium production. The BPED system offers an efficient on-site solution for acid-base conversion, especially valuable in plateau areas where transportation and chemical supply are constrained.

Key Benefits:
🔷 Enables direct production of lithium hydroxide monohydrate from lithium salt solutions.
🔷 Converts sodium salts into usable acid and alkali without generating by-products, supporting cleaner production.
🔷 Reduces reliance on external chemical procurement, offering logistical and cost advantages in high-altitude environments.

With proven applications in five existing salt lake projects, BPED is an excellent choice for cleaner and more resilient lithium production.
