🌱 Electrodialysis in Betaine Production
Betaine (trimethylglycine) is a natural compound widely used in animal feed, food & pharmaceuticals, and skincare. It plays key roles in osmotic regulation, metabolism, and cell protection—supporting animal health, cardiovascular function, liver protection, and skin hydration.
How Betaine Is Produced:
In the synthesis process, betaine liquor contains more than 10% sodium chloride alongside betaine. To obtain high-purity betaine, Lanran Tech applies alloy membrane electrodialysis, effectively removing sodium chloride and reducing conductivity to below 100 μs/cm before drying.
Advantages of Lanran’s Electrodialysis Technology:
🔹 Low wastewater generation – concentrated NaCl brine up to 15%, minimizing discharge.
🔹 Green & safe process – no need for methanol salt precipitation or explosion-proof design, reducing risks and costs.
🔹 High yield – one-pass desalination achieves product recovery ≥90%.
🔹 Durability & efficiency – alloy membranes feature high mechanical strength, acid/alkali resistance, and long service life, lowering operational costs.
Lanran’s membrane electrodialysis technology enables clean, efficient, and sustainable betaine production, offering both environmental and economic benefits across industries.
