CO₂ Capture via BMED

Innovative Carbon Capture Methods
Facing the global challenge of climate change, Lanran Tech stands at the forefront with our carbon capture and conversion solutions. Utilizing bipolar membrane electrodialysis technology, we efficiently capture CO₂ and convert it into high-value products. Our solutions help industries reduce their carbon footprint and comply with emissions regulations. We also participate in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) by capturing excess CO₂ and either storing it or converting it into energy sources such as formic acid, acetic acid, methanol, ethanol, hexanol, and ethylene. This dual approach addresses global warming and contributes to a sustainable future.
- Seawater Carbon Capture and Conversion:
By converting sodium chloride in seawater into acid and base, the acid transforms bicarbonate ions (hydrogencarbonate ion) into CO₂, while the base neutralizes the remaining seawater. This method recovers bicarbonate ions from seawater, leveraging the ocean’s natural ability to capture CO₂, thereby enhancing the marine ecosystem.
- Industrial Emissions Carbon Capture:
We convert inorganic salts into acid and base, with the acid used in metallurgy and chemical industries, and the base absorbing CO₂ emissions to produce sodium carbonate. This approach reduces industrial emissions and supports green manufacturing.
- Organic Amine Solution Carbon Capture:
CO₂ is absorbed by an organic amine solution and regenerated using bipolar membrane technology. This efficient process is applicable to various industrial emission sources.

Carbon Conversion and Storage
Bipolar Membrane Electrolysis Conversion:
Our technology uses ion exchange membranes for the electrocatalytic oxidation of CO₂ into alcohols or organic acids such as formic acid, acetic acid, methanol, ethanol, hexanol, and ethylene, which have applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and new energy industries.
Efficient Carbon Storage:
Captured CO₂ can react with lithium hydroxide to produce high-purity lithium carbonate for batteries or with lime to produce calcium carbonate for construction and agriculture. These methods are safe, efficient, and support sustainable industry development.
Lanran Tech is dedicated to advancing research in ion exchange membrane technology and is eager to collaborate with global partners in the carbon capture and emissions reduction field. Together, we aim to discover and find innovative solutions to contribute to a carbon-neutral society.
