Lithium Iron Phosphate By-Product Salt Conversion

Lithium Iron Phosphate By-Product Salt Conversion

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production generates by-product ammonium sulfate. After pretreatment to remove oils and impurities, the by-product undergoes ion removal and is converted into ammonia and sulfuric acid using bipolar membrane systems.

Process:

By-product salt is pretreated to remove impurities.

Ion removal systems eliminate divalent and multivalent ions.

Bipolar membrane systems convert salts into ammonia and sulfuric acid, which are further processed.

Advantages:

100% conversion of by-product salt.

Sustainable and efficient resource recovery.

High-value product generation.

Applications:

Ammonia production for fertilizers and sulfuric acid for industrial use.
