Electrodeionization (EDI)

Electrodeionization (EDI)
EDI combines ion exchange resins, membranes, and electric fields to produce ultra-pure water without chemical regeneration. It achieves continuous desalination under the influence of a direct current electric field.
Process:
Feedwater is pretreated to remove large particles.
Ions are separated and removed via ion exchange and migration under a DC field.
Ultra-pure water is collected continuously.
Applications:
Pharmaceutical water systems.
Semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
Laboratory-grade water production.
Advantages:
Produces high-purity water (1–18.25 MΩ·cm).
Environmentally friendly, with no chemical regeneration.
Compact, energy-efficient design and simple operation.
Project:
Electrodialysis system
Processing capacity:
HED+RO+EDI 30t/d (100% salt) sodium nitrate
