EX-4S
ED/BPED experimental device
EX-4S (Product Model) is developed for electrodialysis (ED) and bipolar membrane electrodialysis (BPED) experiments. Only by changing the membrane stacks can the device be used for desalination, salt concentration, acid & alkali production experiments. It’s multifunctional, easy to use, and maintain.
Characteristics:
- Touch screen control;
- Membrane stack is fully removable, making it easy to replace;
- Used for technical and economic feasibility studies, easy to operate;
- Bipolar membranes are added to the conventional homogeneous membranes to form bipolar membrane electrodialysis, enabling the preparation of acids and bases from inorganic salts and the production of organic acids and bases from organic acid salts;
- On-line display and recording of conductivity, voltage, current, temperature, and time data;
- External circulation cooling water and product overflow outlet can be connected for automatic continuous operation.
Application field:
- Electrodialysis: food desalting, inorganic salt desalting and concentration, groundwater mineral removal;
- Two-chamber bipolar membrane for the production of organic acids and bases: lactic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, glucuronic acid, ascorbic acid, methanesulfonic acid, salicylic acid; sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide;
- Three-chamber bipolar membrane for the production of acids and bases: nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid; sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide.
