Lithium Battery Recycle & Recovery
Description
Lanran’s BPED technology enables resource recovery from spent lithium batteries by converting leachates into lithium hydroxide and sulfuric acid, closing the loop in battery manufacturing.
Process
- Spent batteries undergo dismantling, crushing, and leaching to produce a Li-rich solution.
- After impurity removal, purified Li₂SO₄ solution enters BPED system.
- BPED converts Li₂SO₄ into LiOH and H₂SO₄.
- LiOH is crystallized; H₂SO₄ is recycled for leaching.
Applications
- Recycling LiFePO₄ and NMC batteries
- Closed-loop resource recovery for lithium
Key Advantages
High lithium recovery efficiency
Acid by-product reused, reducing chemical consumption
Clean process with no secondary pollution
