LANRAN Mamicuo Salt Lake Bipolar Membrane project
We’re honored to be featured by the Membrane Industry Association of China for our Mamicuo Salt Lake Bipolar Membrane project in Tibet, China.
At an altitude of 4,400 meters, LANRAN’s BPED system is helping transform post-lithium extraction NaCl wastewater into reusable hydrochloric acid and caustic soda — supporting resource recovery, closed-loop production, and zero-liquid-discharge goals in the salt lake lithium industry.
The project is built around our 110-type bipolar membrane stack, designed for:
✔ High efficiency
✔ Lower energy consumption
✔ Compact footprint
✔ Reliable operation in harsh plateau environments
Once operational, the system will help reduce dependence on externally purchased chemicals while enabling sustainable reuse of wastewater streams.
This project reflects how electrodialysis and bipolar membrane technologies can support greener lithium extraction and circular resource utilization in challenging industrial environments.
Special thanks to the Membrane Industry Association of China for sharing this story.
